At Cakes By Terra we give all our desserts the same attention to detail no matter how small the order; therefore we do not have a minimum order requirement. Our desserts are custom made therefore we do not have any items pre-made for sale.

We are available to answer questions or take orders by phone at the following times:

Internet orders or emails can be sent at anytime. We generally do not work on Sunday; however we can make exceptions for wedding cake deliveries.
Every cake is different and custom made so pricing will vary, you will have to call for this information. When placing orders (this excludes wedding cakes) a 50% deposit is required for large orders (amounts over $100). The remaining balance is due at the time of pick-up; all other orders can be paid for when picked up.
Wedding cakes are priced per slice; pricing starts at $2.00/slice and goes up from there. The more detail in the design the higher the price per slice. Wedding cakes may be paid for in two [2] installments if there is time to do so. See FAQs below for more information regarding wedding cakes.
FAQs (Frequently Asked Questions)
Q – How much notice do I need to place an order?
A – At least 4 days or as much time as you can possibly give us would be great; however we have been known to do same day orders if the schedule permits. So if you find yourself in a pinch give us a call and if we can make it happen for you we certainly will.
Q – I would like a cake that looks like my best friends cousins aunt Maggie’s wall paper.
If I bring you a picture of it can you make a cake w/ this design?
A – All of our cakes are custom made; therefore we can do almost anything you can come up with.
Q - Can I stop by anytime for a wedding cake consultation/tasting?
A – Because each cake tasting is specifically tailored to each couples tasting preference the consultations are by appointment only and require at least a 24 hour notice. Please let us know of any food allergies!
Q – Is there a cost for the wedding cake consultation/ tasting?
A – The cake tastings are only for wedding cake orders and each couple receives 1 free cake tasting. However if after our initial meeting if a couple wishes to come back and taste additional samples there is a $10.00 fee that is due at the time of the 2nd tasting.
Q – Is it an option for me to pick-up my wedding cake?
A – Yes, we will secure the cake for travel, but once the cake is in your possession you assume full responsibility for it. We cannot be responsible for anything that may happen while you are transporting your cake.
Q – Do you offer bachelor/bachelorette party cakes or favors?
A – Yes, we do offer adult themed desserts, but these items are not posted on the site. You must contact me directly for information on these items.
Q – Do you ship items?
A – We can ship certain cakes & cookies anywhere in the United States.
Q – Do you deliver?
A – Yes we deliver; the cost is based on the distance from us to you.
Q – What’s the farthest you will travel to deliver a cake?
A – We don’t really have a set limit to the distance we will travel. We delivered a wedding cake to New Jersey. As mentioned above, the cost of delivery is based on the distance from us to you and if the total travel time exceeds 8 hours it may be necessary for us to arrive a day early and the cost a reasonably priced hotel stay will be added to your order. All of this will be discussed beforehand so that you can decide if this is something you want to include into your budget.
Q – Do you teach classes?
A – At this time we do not offer classes, but because we have had so many requests, this is something we are looking into. We when we get to that point I will post an announcement on this site.
